What is the CCA (Comprehensive Competency Assessment)?

The CCA (Comprehensive Competency Assessment) is CIU’s doctoral comprehensive exam. You must pass the CCA to advance to doctoral candidacy.

Who takes the CCA?

Doctoral learners complete the CCA as a milestone in their academic journey. It demonstrates mastery of key concepts before advancing to dissertation research.

When do I take it?

Your Academic Advisor will confirm the right time and eligibility for your program.
