The CIU Falcons delivered a strong, complete performance Thursday, defeating CPU 15–4 behind a powerful offensive showing and steady pitching.
CIU totaled 24 hits on the day, putting pressure on CPU from the early innings and breaking the game open in the middle frames. A five-run sixth inning highlighted the surge, giving the Falcons full control of the matchup.
Several players contributed at the plate, with consistent production throughout the lineup. Extra-base hits and aggressive baserunning helped CIU capitalize on scoring opportunities, finishing with 15 runs on 24 hits.
On the mound, A. Willis set the tone with four scoreless innings, allowing just four hits while keeping CPU off balance. The bullpen followed with a solid effort to secure the win despite a late push from CPU in the ninth.
