The Free Application for Federal Student Aid through the U.S. Department of Education.

Regardless of income, every student should file a FAFSA every year if they meet the following criteria:

  • You are a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen (permanent resident, asylum, etc.).
  • You are a high school graduate (or high school senior) at the time of application.

Application Process

What Will I Need?

Here’s how to move forward with your financial aid application:

  1. Create your FSA ID (if you don’t have one yet).
  2. Complete the FAFSA Form; it usually takes about 30 minutes.
  3. Add California Intercontinental University (CIU) using our Federal School Code: 042440
  4. Submit and check your email for updates.

What you’ll need before starting:

  • Social Security number (or Alien Registration Number, if applicable)
  • Federal tax information or returns
  • Your FSA ID

Tip: Set aside about 30 minutes to complete the FAFSA form.

Important: CIU is accredited by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC). Financial aid eligibility follows federal guidelines.
